Rob is a freelance researcher, writer and podcaster on film and television.

He has contributed to Horrified Magazine, We Are Cult, and the Nigel Kneale Centenary celebrations, most recently becoming co-presenter on the new horror podcast ‘Beyond the Scream’.

Rob has also featured on ‘Bergcast’ (dedicated to the life and career of writer Nigel Kneale) in a special Christmas episode from 2021 (below) covering the ITV version of ‘The Woman in Black’ of which, Rob is writing a book covering its production.

Bergcast - Episode 32

In this episode, we have the Woman in Black herself, Pauline Moran, who although unwell at the time, graciously agreed to talk to us about her career in rock music, Mike Leigh, clingfilm, auditioning for a role with no lines, and the shocking failure of the media industry to supply decent roles for older women in acting.

Oh, and yeah, did you know there was an Australian adaptation of The Quatermass Experiment? No? Neither did we. A word about that in the preamble.
